A moving image, a walk, a recollection of Taipei
Duration: 30mins
Performed as part of the Artists Home Swap UK/Taiwan residency programme (換屋計畫:高雄系列活動) in October 2019 at The Pier-2 Art Centre, Kaohsiung, Taiwan
A performance that weaves drawing and walking together, exploring memories, sense of place and belonging in a new environment and the state of being peripatetic.
ACTION: The artist moved around the gallery space as she slowly unfurled a long scroll of graphite rubbings she created from walks during her time in Taipei. She moved as if she was drawing, treating the scroll as a line whilst a soundtrack of layered sound recordings of these walks also filled the space.
